About Michelle Robinson

I am a fully trained and professional counsellor in the Coleraine area of Northern Ireland. I am an Accredited Counsellor with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Certificate in Counselling Skills, Certificate in Mindfulness and an Advanced Certificate in Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

I am a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). This specific training uses applied neuroscience in the treatment of anxiety, depression, panic, worry, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). Effective brain-based strategies and interventions are used to work towards lasting relief from anxiety related symptoms. Psychoeducation, managing triggers, exposure, breathing training, cognitive restructuring, mindfulness & CBT are part of a unique treatment plan to help create new emotional learning while promoting neuroplasticity.
